2. What Data We Collect
Data you provide
When you use the ComplaintCraft copilot, you describe your situation in natural language. This conversation data — including details about your complaint, the company involved, and any facts you share — is held temporarily in your browser session. It is never written to a database or stored on our servers beyond your session.
We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact details unless you choose to email us directly.
Data collected automatically
Our web server logs standard access data when you visit the site, including your IP address, the page requested, your browser type, and the date and time of access. These logs are used for security, debugging, and to understand aggregate traffic volumes. They are retained for no more than 30 days and are never sold or shared with third parties.
3. Cookies
ComplaintCraft uses one essential cookie:
- Session cookie — a temporary cookie that stores your session ID so your conversation progress is maintained as you navigate between pages. This cookie expires when you close your browser or after a period of inactivity. It does not track you across other websites.
We do not use persistent tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or marketing cookies of our own.
4. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising
We display advertisements served by Google AdSense on some pages of this website (excluding the active conversation interface). Google AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

We use the data described above solely to:
- Provide the ComplaintCraft service during your session
- Maintain the security and performance of the website
- Respond to enquiries you send us by email
We do not sell your data, use it for marketing, or share it with any third parties other than Google (for AdSense, as described above) and our hosting provider (Contabo, for server infrastructure).
6. Data Retention
Session data: deleted automatically when your session expires (browser close or inactivity timeout).
Server access logs: retained for up to 30 days.
Email correspondence: retained for as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry.

UK and EU users (GDPR)
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data

8. Children's Privacy
ComplaintCraft is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
